The CWS Girls NFL FLAG program is about much more than winning games. We are creating an environment where female athletes can develop football fundamentals, athletic ability, confidence, discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership.
Throughout the season, players will develop skills including passing, receiving, route running, footwork, flag pulling, defensive technique, speed and agility, communication, and football IQ.
Our coaches emphasize player development while creating an atmosphere where athletes are encouraged to compete, learn from mistakes, support their teammates, and improve every week.
Creating a dedicated girls league gives female athletes an opportunity to compete alongside and against other girls while developing their abilities in an environment built specifically for them.
CWS plans to organize age-appropriate divisions, including 8–10, 11–13, and 14–17, subject to registration numbers and competitive balance.
Final divisions and team placement may be adjusted to create the safest and most competitive experience possible.
No previous football experience is required.
First-time athletes will learn the fundamentals of flag football, while experienced players will have opportunities to continue developing their technique, football IQ, and competitive skills.
NFL FLAG's non-contact format provides athletes with the speed, strategy, teamwork, and excitement of football without traditional tackle football contact.
At Cultural Wealth Sports, we believe athletics can be a powerful platform for developing young women.
Our program emphasizes five core areas: athletic development, confidence, leadership, character, and opportunity.
We want every athlete to leave the season stronger than when she arrived—not only as a football player, but also as a teammate, student, leader, and young woman.
CWS Girls NFL FLAG games will be played Sunday mornings from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM at Northeast Regional Field in Davenport.
The season begins September 27, with regular-season competition continuing through November 22, followed by our December 6 playoff experience.
Players should plan to arrive approximately 20–30 minutes before their scheduled game for check-in, warm-ups, and team preparation.
Practice schedules and locations will be communicated after registration closes and teams and coaches are finalized.
After completing CWS registration, parents will need to enter and verify all parent and player information in SportsPlus.
SportsPlus will serve as a primary communication platform throughout the season for team assignments, rosters, practices, game schedules, coach communication, weather notifications, schedule changes, league announcements, and playoff information.
Parents should ensure their email address and mobile number are correct and that notifications are enabled.
